From the Editor, |
Hope you like getting your newsletter by Email! This has taken
us a bit to get this off the ground and I’m sure there will
be great many glitches. If you know someone that is not getting
the newsletter and would like to, please have them give us a call.
We are also working on a web sight so that you can get information
updates all the time.
We have had an exciting and very busy summer, with conventions,
quilt shows, sewing camps, fairs, and of course not to forget our
every day jobs. Those of you that bought new machines at the fair
please remember that you get free classes. Congratulations to Charity
McAllister, for winning the senior sewing division at the Humboldt
County Fair. I would like to encourage all of you to make and enter
things into the fairs.
Ronda and I had a wonderful time with all the kids. Every year
I think about who learned the most, the kids or the teachers. As
it works out I think it is about even. Right now I’m working
on cutting up donated fabric for next years Camp. Adult Camp was
a lot of fun, and a great experience for those that attended.
We came back from convention with new products and new ideas for
classes. All the teachers are working on new projects for you.
It looks like a full calendar. Remember to sign up early so that
we can make sure the class you want happens. Then invite a friend
or two to join you.
Magical Thread Club is going to be informative and lots of fun
this year with new projects. Club donated 295 Kathy Kaps to the
Cancer Society thank you to all our members who sewed and ate pizza
with us. We will let you know when we will be doing that again.
Teen Club will be the third Friday of the month. All new projects
and much fun.
Keep Sewing, Susan
